Online SSM™ Assessments and Workshops

1. Collection of Information

  • We collect participant names, emails, company details, and survey responses directly from participants for assessment and workshop administration purposes.
  • Data is collected directly from participants when they complete the assessment or register for workshops.
  • Personality assessment data may include "sensitive information" under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, as it relates to behavioural and psychological characteristics.
  • When participants complete personality or psychometric assessments, we may also collect:
    • Basic demographic information (e.g. age, gender, ethnicity, country).
    • Technical data (e.g. IP address) to ensure system security.

2. Use of Information

Personal information is used solely for:

  • Generating personalised SSM™ profile reports for participants of personality or psychometric assessments.
  • Producing anonymous (de-identified) team reports.
  • Research, benchmarking, and tool validation using de-identified data.
  • Improving the accuracy, reliability, and fairness of assessments.
  • Organising and delivering workshops.
  • Sending assessment or workshop-related communications.
  • Administrative and accounting purposes.

3. Storage and Security

  • Data is stored securely on Australian-based servers and is only accessible to authorised personnel.
  • Reasonable technical and organisational measures are implemented to protect data from loss, misuse, or unauthorised access.
  • Personal information and assessment data are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes for which they were collected or to comply with legal obligations. When no longer required, data will be securely deleted or de-identified in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.

4. Sharing of Information

Personal information is not shared with third parties except:

  • As required by law.
  • For payment processing (e.g., Stripe, PayPal), where providers must comply with privacy standards.
  • De-identified psychometric or personality assessment data may be shared with researchers or professional partners only in a form that does not identify individual participants.

5. Participant Rights

  • Participants may request access, correction, or deletion of their personal information by contacting support@shawsight.com.
  • Requests will be addressed promptly, generally within 30 days.
  • Participants of personality or psychometric assessments have the right to withdraw from the assessment before submission and request deletion of any identifiable assessment data.

6. Changes to Policy

  • This policy may be updated periodically. Updated versions will be communicated to clients and posted on our website.
  • Continued use of SSM™ assessments or workshops constitutes acceptance of any updates.
