Online SSM™ Assessments and Workshops

1. Collection of Information

  • We collect personal, assessment, and technical information for the primary purpose of delivering SSM™ Assessment and workshop services.
  • Information may be collected directly from participants when they complete assessments, register for workshops, or interact with our systems.
  • The types of information collected for SSM™ Assessment – Individual and Workshop participants may include:
    • Name, email address, and company/organisation name to support service administration and automated distribution of paid assessment and workshop reports.
  • The types of information collected for SSM™ Psychometric or Personality Assessment participants may include:
    • Assessment response data and demographic information such as age range, gender, ethnicity, and country.
    • Where possible, such information is stored and processed in de-identified or aggregated form.
  • Personality and psychometric assessment data may constitute sensitive information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Australia) because it relates to behavioural or psychological characteristics. Participants provide informed consent to the collection and processing of such data when completing assessments.
  • Technical information such as IP addresses and system interaction data may also be collected for purposes including system security, fraud prevention, and maintaining service integrity.
  • De-identified data may be used for research, benchmarking, and assessment validation purposes. Such data will not be used for any purpose that attempts to re-identify individual participants.

2. Use of Information

Personal information is used primarily for the following purposes:

  • Generating personalised SSM™ profile reports for assessment participants.
  • Producing anonymous or de-identified team reports.
  • Research, benchmarking, and validation of assessment tools using de-identified data.
  • Improving the reliability, fairness, and accuracy of assessment algorithms and instruments.
  • Organising and delivering workshops and training services.
  • Sending assessment, workshop, and service-related communications.
  • Administrative, billing, and accounting operations.

Personal information will not be used for unrelated purposes unless required or permitted by law or where explicit consent has been provided.

3. Storage and Security

  • Data is stored securely on Australian-based servers and is only accessible to authorised personnel.
  • Reasonable technical and organisational measures are implemented to protect data from loss, misuse, or unauthorised access.
  • Personal information and assessment data are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes for which they were collected or to comply with legal obligations. When no longer required, data will be securely deleted or de-identified in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.

4. Sharing of Information

Personal information is not shared with third parties except:

  • As required by law.
  • For payment processing (e.g., Stripe, PayPal), where providers must comply with privacy standards.
  • De-identified psychometric or personality assessment data may be shared with researchers or professional partners only in a form that does not identify individual participants.

5. Participant Rights

  • Participants may request access, correction, or deletion of their personal information by contacting support@shawsight.com.
  • Requests will be addressed promptly, generally within 30 days.
  • Participants of personality or psychometric assessments have the right to withdraw from the assessment before submission and request deletion of any identifiable assessment data.

6. Changes to Policy

  • This policy may be updated periodically. Updated versions will be communicated to clients and posted on our website.
  • Continued use of SSM™ assessments or workshops constitutes acceptance of any updates.
