The SSM Assessment has been built using a rigorous, multi-phased process to ensure every question is clear, fair, and scientifically sound.
A lead psychometrician reviewed each question for construct alignment, clarity and equal socially desirability of paired responses.
Seven international psychologists and psychometric specialists rated each question for relevance, clarity, and coverage. Questions were refined iteratively until all met professional standards, ensuring precision, balance, and scientific rigour.
A diverse international pilot group of 11 participants confirmed the questionnaire is clear, intuitive, and respectful of users' time.
In March 2026, a professional psychometric evaluation was completed by an expert who reviewed the SSM assessment results of 349 participants obtained via the Prolific survey platform. The report conclusion was: “Overall, the SSM forced-choice strengths instrument demonstrates a methodologically appropriate psychometric foundation."
